Management Intensive Grazing School at MU Wurdack Farm

Description:

This 3-day school teaches livestock producers how to better manage their farms forage resources through management intensive grazing. Topics include: Understanding your farm's resources; Soils and soil fertility; Forage species and plant growth; Livestock nutrition, requirements, and matching livestock to forages; Fence and Watering systems; Grazing Economics; Extending the grazing season; Pasture weed and brush control. Stay Strong, Stay Healthy - Missouri S&T (Session 4 of 18)

When:  Wednesday, Sept. 27, 2017, noon to 1 p.m.

Description:

This MU strength-training program can get your fitness journey (re)started, right here on campus. Participants will be guided safely by a trained instructor through warm up, eight muscle-strengthening exercises and cool down. Participants are made to feel comfortable regardless of their current fitness level so they can safely participate and gradually build the strength beneficial to health. Equipment is provided. The class is targeted toward older and sedentary middle-ages adults. There are no age limits. Duration: 18 week sessions that meet twice a week.
