100th Anniversary of Greenwood School
When: Sunday, Sept. 21, 2014, 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Greenwood school is located at the corner of Greenwood and Whispering Oaks Road in Webster County.

Community celebration of the 100th Anniversary of Greenwood School near Marshfield. The one-room school is used as a community gathering place and is also used to depict the educational heritage of this region to visitors.
Items from the one room school will be on display. B# Entertainers will provide music. This community celebration will also include special one-minute talks from people who attended a one-room school as a young child.
Event is free and open to the public
2014 4-H Best of the Best
When: Sunday, Sept. 21, 2014, 2 p.m. to 5 p.m.

The Annual 4-H “Best of the Best” Awards Program begins at 2 p.m., Sunday, Sept. 21, inside the Center Hall E-Plex, at the Ozark Empire Fairgrounds in Springfield. Sponsored by the Greene County 4-H Foundation, the program includes a pie supper where pies, cakes and cookies are auctioned off to the crowd. "Best of the Best" awards will be presented to members of 4-H clubs (ages 8 to 18) from southwest Missouri. Two members from each county are eligible for this honor, and recognition will take place. Plaques will be awarded to each “Best of the Best” winner.
There will also be an auction of cakes and pies with proceeds benefitting Greene County 4-H.
Award Ceremony for the County 4-H Best of the Best winners.
