The Eat Smart Guidelines intervention was created to challenge child care facilities and providers to voluntarily make changes to their menus and the environment in which they feed children. This program educates child care directors, teachers, and staff in providing nutritious, appealing meals and snacks to children in a positive child care environment.
Four one-hour Eat Smart workshops will be provided to child care providers.
First session is Eating Well. Second session is "Childhood Obesity and Eat Smart Guidelines." The third session is "Setting the Stage." The fourth session is "Healthy Habits."
Contact Jane Hunter at firstname.lastname@example.org or by calling 660-385-2173. Successful completion of the programwill result in 4 clock hours of education.
