    Pasture Plant Identification Class (Session 2 of 2)

    Description:

    This class will teach you the classifications of pasture plants, characteristics of cool season and warm season grasses and legumes. You will learn to identify different pasture plants, weeds, forbs and woody type plants. The class will also address soil types and their effect on plant grow, in addition you will learn how to determine your grassland composition and what factors effect overall forage quality.

    Session topic:

    Millsap Farm Twilight Tour

    All are invited to attend the Millsap Farm Twilight Tour. Join a farmer from Millsap Farm, along with Horticulture Field Specialist Patrick Byers of MU Extension, for an evening walk around the farm. All aspects of produce farming are on display and available for discussion, and the tour will include a monthly feature.
