Master Gardener Training in Kirksville (Session 5 of 12)
When: Wednesday, Sept. 18, 2013, 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.

12 week training course on different horticulture topics. A 30 hour volunteer committement is required following the training in order to become a Master Gardener.

Building Strong Families Parent Education in Macon (Session 2 of 4)
When: Wednesday, Sept. 18, 2013, 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Parent Education classes using the Building Strong Families Curriculum will be offered in Macon.
The topics will address Family Strengths, Positive Discipline, Building Self-Esteem in Children and Stress Management. The fee is $20 for all four sessions. Participants will receive a binder with resource materials and chapters that address each of the topics.
Positive Guidance - Helping parents understand ages and stages of development as they relate to guidance and discipline. The parent is the first teacher.
