Building Strong Families is a multi-session life-skills program series that assists participants in identifying their strengths and learning to build on those strengths.
Classes are held once or twice a month in a group setting.
Classes in September will be on the topic of "Dealing with Stress"
Extension specialists partner with Hillcrest Ministries to offer the Building Strong Families program year-round. Adults who reside in Hillcrest Transitional Living communities are required to attend life skills classes during their stay. Case managers and resident managers enroll the participants and keep the attendance roster updated with the Clay County Extension Center. Individuals who are not residents of Hillcrest Transitional Living may participate in the Building Strong Families program on a case by case basis, and if space allows.
