Team Nutrition for Child Care (Session 4 of 7)

Where Families Grow Day Care Center located behind Dillon's grocery store on Battlefield and Kansas Expressway
The director and Staff of "Where Families Grow" day care center will participate in a program supported by University Extension and funded by the State Health Department called MOve Smart. The program is to help day care center staff incorporate more physical activity into children's lives and to work to reduce the childhood obesity problem.

Where Families Grow Day Care Center
The MOve Smart program is designed to work with child day care centers on improving the amount and type of physical activity that children are getting. The project includes working with the director to write an physical activity plan and policy for the center and to observe and work with staff to include more physical activity into their daily classroom plans.
Center staff will participate in a 2 hour workshop on I Am Moving, I Am Learning. The workshop will help staff understand the importance of physical activity for children. The program provides the center with resources to help them.
