Certified Global Business Professional Exam Training (3 day course)

This will be a three-day course covering the primary content areas of the CGBP exam. These areas include global business management, global marketing, resources/data sources, international supply chain management with a focus on export facilitation and trade finance. Specific topics included and skills participants will learn are assessing company readiness to export, international business plan development, foreign partner selection, channel management, incoterms, international export documentation, financing export growth, risk management (political, economic, finance), foreign market selection, foreign market entry mode, international logistics (moving freight globally), international trade compliance issues, and international payment methods.
This course is aligned with the national NASBITE CGBP trade professional exam and would support efforts of participants to sit for the national exam.

Sullivan County Agricultural Tour
When: Tuesday, July 29, 2014, 5 p.m. to 9 p.m.
The first stop on the tour will be at the Phillip and Jane Wise farm (15891 Highway 139 at Harris MO The tour will then proceed to the Medicine Creek Community Center in Harris for a free meal. After dinner, the final stop will be at Glenn and Jane Heisey’s farm (40442 Highway E, Harris MO – one mile west of the Hwy 139/Hwy E Junction, north side of the road on top of the hill)
The Sullivan County University of Missouri Extension Council will host a Sullivan County Farm Tour on Tuesday, July 29th 2014. This will be the first annual county farm tour to showcase the diverse farming systems and operations in Sullivan County. The first stop on the tour will be at the Phillip and Jane Wise farm (15891 Highway 139 at Harris MO - we will gather at the drive just south of the old Harris state shed) to view his cow/calf operation and management intensive grazing system: fencing, paddock set-up and rotation, and forage development. The tour will then proceed to the Medicine Creek Community Center in Harris for a free meal, sponsored by the Sullivan County Farm Bureau and Sullivan County Soil and Water Conservation District Board. Sullivan County Cattlemens will be cooking and Sullivan County 4-H members will be serving the meal. After dinner, the final stop will be at Glenn and Jane Heisey’s farm (40442 Highway E, Harris MO – one mile west of the Hwy 139/Hwy E Junction, north side of the road on top of the hill) to see their low cost-low maintenance water gaps, tractor tire waterer, rotational grazing systems and prestigious Percheron Draft Horses. more...
