Stay Strong Stay Healthy Level 2 (Session 9 of 18)

Description:

Stay Strong, Stay Healthy (SSSH) program is designed to increase independent living older adults’ access to a safe, structured, and effective strength training program. Stay Strong, Stay Healthy- Level 2 is a follow-up to Level 1. It is for those who want to challenge themselves a bit more! Over eight weeks, participants learn exercises to improve strength, flexibility and balance. At each session, a prescribed set of eight to 10 upper and lower body strengthening exercises are done along with warm-up and cool-down stretches. In order to enroll in the Stay Strong, Stay Healthy–Level 2 program, you must have completed the Stay Strong, Stay Healthy-Level 1 program at least twice. Participants are made to feel comfortable and are encouraged to gradually build the strength beneficial to health. All equipment is provided.

Stay Strong, Stay Healthy - Level 1 (Session 9 of 18)

Stay Strong, Stay Healthy is an eight-week, evidence based strength training program designed for older adults who want to improve their quality of life and stay active. Helps divorced and separated parents learn how to support their children through the divorce process and how to work together in co-parenting their children.  Focus on Kids satisfies the Missouri law that requires parents who are divorcing or filing a motion to modify the original divorce decree, or who have never been married but have filed a child custody case, to attend an educational parenting program.

Franklin County 4-H Interstate Exchange (Session 6 of 6)

Description:

Missouri 4-H is about young people discovering their interests with the guidance of caring adults. It’s about young people making friends and memories in clubs or other groups while honing their knowledge, skills, attitudes and health to lead in a complex and changing world.

The interstate exchange is a two year partnerships between Franklin County and a county in another state.  In the two-year exchange each county hosts teens from the other county for one week, and travels to visit the other county. 

Session topic:

Interstate Exchange trip to Wayne County, New York

Registration:

Teens involved attend an orientation meeting and then commit to the program when enough details are available, usually by January of the 4-H Club year.
