MU Extension 4-H Garden Explore Activities (Session 2 of 10)

Description:
MU Extension 4-H Explore Activities - an educational interactive hands-on activity for children ages 2-12. Each session is 30-45 minutes long. A book will be read out loud to the group and an open-ended activity (art or science) will be available to each child. An interactive worksheet will be provided to the teacher/adult to encourage learning activities outside in the park. Topics include (1) All kinds of gardens, (2)Animals in the garden, (3) Butterflies,(4) Bees and (5) Ladybugs
NOTE: Teachers must stay with the group to assist with behavioral needs of the children.

Youth will use the latest geospatial technology while exploring a cave. They will return to the geographic laboratory to plot the data on maps. They will also get a chance to GeoCache or create “mashups” in GoogleEarth.
