    LaunchU Part 1, 2, & 3 (Session 3 of 3)

    When:  Friday, July 12, 2019, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

    Description:

    This overview will introduce you to the critical aspects associated with starting your own business. It is designed specifically for those who are thinking about a new business venture. LaunchU Part 1 will provide participants with an introduction to starting their own business and conducting a feasibility analysis. The section will include Introduction, Communicating the Business Concept, Gathering Information for Feasibility, Products and Services, Industry and competition, market segments and strategies. LaunchU Part 2 will provide participants with an introduction to starting their own business and conducting a feasibility analysis. The section will include pricing, cost of business, break-even analysis, projecting sales, operating costs, cash flow, and plans for further action. LaunchU Part 3 will provide participants with an overview of cash flow and next steps. We will also have two questions speakers.     Blackberry Production Workshop - Cuba

    Description:

    Blackberries offer huge potential for Missouri farmers. Though a challenging crop to produce, blackberries are in high demand for many markets. The Blackberry Production Workshop will offer educational sessions and a tours of an innovative blackberry farm. Join local and nationally known blackberry specialists and farmers to gain expertise on a wide range of blackberry topics, including the blackberry shift trellis, blackberry cultivars, establishing new blackberry plantings, blackberry production practices, blackberry weed management,updates on blackberry insect issues, creative marketing strategies for blackberries, processing blackberries into value-added products, blackberry growers profiles, and on-farm tours of innovative blackberry producers.
