    Stay Strong, Stay Healthy (Session 7 of 17)

    When:  Tuesday, June 25, 2019, 8:15 a.m. to 9:15 a.m.


    Stay Strong, Stay Healthy is an 8-week strength training program geared towards individuals age 60+ who are looking for a challenge in their current fitness routine. Participants meet twice weekly for 8 weeks and complete upper and lower body exercises that improve their muscle strength, balance and flexibility. All program equipment is provided.

    Blackberry Production Workshop - Kansas City

    Blackberries offer huge potential for Missouri farmers. Though a challenging crop to produce, blackberries are in high demand for many markets. The Blackberry Production Workshop will offer educational sessions and a tours of an innovative blackberry farm. Join local and nationally known blackberry specialists and farmers to gain expertise on a wide range of blackberry topics, including the blackberry shift trellis, blackberry cultivars, establishing new blackberry plantings, blackberry production practices, blackberry weed management,updates on blackberry insect issues, creative marketing strategies for blackberries, processing blackberries into value-added products, blackberry growers profiles, and on-farm tours of innovative blackberry producers.


    Session topic:

    Participants will learn blackberry production methods and marketing strategies. There will be a tour of a local blackberry planting.

    Emergency drill Community Emergency Management (Session 1 of 3)
