    2019 Polk County 4-H Regional Shooting Sports Competition

    When:  Saturday, June 22, 2019, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

    Description:

    Regional shooting sports competition for all 4-H members enrolled in the shooting sports projects. Disciplines include: archery, air rifle, rifle, muzzleloader, shotgun, small bore pistol and air pistol. Registration form must be signed by project leader.

    4-H Youth vs Law Enforcement Shootout in Iron County

    When:  Saturday, June 22, 2019, 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

    Where:  
    The 4-H Youth vs Law Enforcement Shootout will take place at the Arcadia Valley Lions Club Fairgrounds located in Ironton, MO

    Description:

    4-H youth shooting sports members from Iron County and Southeast Missouri will complete in a trap shoot competition with local law enforcement officers, including conservation agents. The event is free for local 4-H youth and law enforcement. A fish fry luncheon will be provided at the end of the event. Youth and law enforcement will work together to learn about the use of firearms.

    Session topic:

    Local 4-H Shooting Sports youth will compete in a trap shoot competition with area law enforcement officers. Youth will learn about building relationships with law enforcement and working together in a friendly competition. Safety and gun etiquette will be taught by law enforcement officers.
