MU Extension "Farm Page of the Air" radio program (Session 169 of 205)
When: Saturday, June 22, 2013, 9 a.m. to 9:15 a.m.
Radio station KWTO
This radio program is intended to educate viewers on a wide range of topics related to gardening in the Ozarks. Morris Westfall conducts the interview with Patrick Byers, MU Extension-Greene County regional horticulture specialist. The program airs several times on Saturday and Sunday on radio stations KWTO, KTXR, and KBFL.
4-H Monster Day Camp

Youth ages 5-12 years old, will have one big day of fun at University of Missouri Extension 4-H Monster Day Camp. 4-H members and volunteers have planned an exciting one-day camp open to all youth ages 5 to 12. Monster related activities include: Monster Ball, Robot and Gooey Polymer Science Activities, Monster Ice Cream, Grow your own Monster gardening project, Monster Make-over craft project, and Sea Monster Games. more...

Cost of the camp is $20.00. There is a $10.00 discount for current 4-H members or children with a family member in the military. Though snacks, gardening project and crafts are included, children should bring their own lunch and a towel.
Harrison County Acheivement and Contest Day
When: Saturday, June 22, 2013, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Assembly of God Church, Hwy 136 west of Bethany.
Open to the youth of Harrison County. Youth will have their completed projects judged by highly qualified judges for potential selection for the Missouri State Fair. Youth will also compete in public speaking, demonstrations, talent, and judging classes.
Youth and families should contact their club leader or 4-H Youth Development Specialist, Becky Simpson.
St. Clair County Achievement Day
When: Saturday, June 22, 2013, 9 a.m. to noon
Lowry City Civic Center
St. Clair County Achievement Day will be held at the Lowry City Civic Center. Deadline for exhibit entry is Friday, June 7, 2013.
Check in starts at 8:00 a.m. All exhibits must be in the building by 8:45 a.m. to be judged.
Southwest Missouri 4-H Camp-Session 2
When: Wednesday, June 19, 2013, noon to Saturday, June 22, 2013, noon
Roaring River State Park, Camp Smokey
Camp this year is "Out of this World" with a Space theme. Funded in part by NASA, summer camp will be an opportunity for youth to learn about space, rocketry, robotics and explore the natural world around them.
4 days of interactive activities that focused on science, the scientific process and the natural world.
