No proof of insurance or identification was needed. University of Missouri Extension in the Southeast Region provided an exhibit table each day during this event. This was a good opportunity for us to be in a controlled environment where we could inform people in the community about our programming. In order for us to successfully serve the community, we have to let them know about us, and this was a great opportunity to work with our community partners.

Military healthcare providers saw a total of 1,337 patients during the effort, which kicked off on June 14. Healthcare providers performed a total of 11,964 medical, dental, optometric and other healthcare procedures during the mission, with a total estimated value to the community of $1,359,920.
While the primary purpose of the mission was to conduct deployment and readiness training for military personnel, incidental to military readiness training, the DAEOC Tri-State IRT teams provided healthcare services to assist local authorities in addressing underserved and unmet community health needs.

    When:  Wednesday, June 12, 2019, 4 p.m. to Thursday, June 20, 2019, 8:30 p.m.

    Where:
305 N Market St, Maryville MO map...

    Description:

Parents are forever. Although parents can divorce each other, their children are not divorceable. Each parent is responsible for nurturing and creating their children's sense of security and well-being — even through the divorce process. Focus on Kids was designed to help you with that task.

    What will I gain?

After attending Focus On Kids, which is only two and one-half hours long, you will:

? Understand the importance of ongoing, supportive and nurturing involvement by both parents.

? Receive information on both children’s and adolescents’ developmental needs, abilities and common reactions to divorce.

? Learn specific behaviors that help in a coparenting situation and those that should be avoided.

    Registration:

Pre-registration is required for each parent.

A $25 per-person fee, payable by cash or check to Buchanan County Extension, can be paid in advance, or immediately prior to the start of class.

To register and for more information: Call the Buchanan County Extension Office at 816.279.1691.

What else do I need to know?

? You and the other parent must attend on separate dates.

? Childcare is not provided so children are not allowed to attend.

? Sign-in and sign-out is required. Plan to arrive 10 minutes early and to stay for the entire two hour session.

? Attendance is confirmed after you have completed a session.
