WC 4-H Agriculture Career Tour 2013
When: Friday, May 31, 2013, 7 a.m. to Saturday, June 1, 2013, 7 p.m.
Jefferson City and Columbia, MO
4-H youth will have opportunities to explore different educational and career paths in the agriculture industries & will experience a taste of dorm life. During tours, youth will engage with farm superintendents, graduate students, professors, researcher, and other professionals to learn more about educational avenues that will help them pursue their career goals. Youth may also re-evaluate their current educational and career goals based on the insight from those in the field. Youth will also experience the “college life” by dining in the University cafeteria and staying overnight in the dorms.
Scheduled tours include: the University of Missouri Bradford Research Farm; Lincoln University’s Carver Research Farm; University of Missouri and Stephen’s College Horse programs; Mizzou's Foremost Dairy Center and the Bennett Springs State Park Fishery.

Radio station KWTO
This radio program is intended to educate viewers on a wide range of topics related to gardening in the Ozarks. Morris Westfall conducts the interview with Patrick Byers, MU Extension-Greene County regional horticulture specialist. The program airs several times on Saturday and Sunday on radio stations KWTO, KTXR, and KBFL.
