    Missouri Master Naturalist (Session 17 of 19)

    Help protect the natural resources of Camden, Miller, Morgan and surrounding counties by becoming a Missouri Master Naturalist. The Missouri Master Naturalist program is a community-based, adult natural resource education and volunteer program designed to engage Missourians in the stewardship of our state's natural resources. Registration has begun for the Lake of the Ozarks Master Naturalist certification training course. An orientation session will be held January 17 from 6:00-8:00 pm at the Mo. Dept of Conservation Office, Thunder Mountain Road, Camdenton, MO. Closing date for the spring training registration is January 31st and class size is limited. Training sessions will be held at the Mo. Dept of Conservation office, Thunder Mountain Road, Camdenton, MO. from 6-9 pm on Wednesdays beginning February 28th and ending May 23th. Three Saturday field trips are included. The 50-hour course will teach you about Missouri's natural resource ecology and management. After graduation, participants are asked to provide 40 hours of volunteer service on land management, citizen science, education, and other conservation related projects in the local community and participate in eight hours of advanced training opportunities.     Southwest Missouri 4-H Family Wizard Day

    When:  Saturday, May 4, 2019, 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.


    *Youth must be enrolled in a county 4-H program to attend.

    Step into the wizarding world of Southwest Missouri 4-H! Activities are intended for a younger audience, but it will be a fun event for ALL ages! For just $2, you can purchase a handmade wand with all wand proceeds going to Kids Helping Kids, a program devoted to helping 4-H members and their families in times of need. Get sorted, take a Care of Magical Creatures class with the Dickerson Park Zoo, get messy in potions class, and you definitely won’t want to miss the charms lesson! Harry Potter knowledge is optional; imagination is not. Pre-registration is required and the event is limited to the first 30 youth. Registration form can be found here:
