    Ultrasound for carcass data - Forkner Farms (Session 10 of 26)

    Description:

    Ultrasound images are collected on-farm for carcass evaluation. Images are later interpreted for loin eye area and back fat thickness. Other data collection on-farm includes: ear notch, breed, sex, weight, farrowing date, and registration number. Measurements and data are sent to the producer and the National Swine Registry for genetic evaluation and improvement. Breeds include: Berkshire, Duroc, Hampshire, Landrace, and Yorkshire. Data is collected on cross bred boars.

    A Matter of Balance-Douglas County (Ava) (Session 8 of 8)

    A Matter of Balance is an award winning program designed to reduce the fear of falling and increase the activity levels of older adults who have concerns about falls.

    Stay Strong, Stay Healthy (SSSH) program is designed to increase independent living older adults access to a safe, structured, and effective strength-training program. At each class, a prescribed set of eight upper and lower body strengthening exercises are done along with warm-up and cool-down stretches. Participants are made to feel comfortable regardless of their current fitness level so they can safely participate and gradually build the strength beneficial to health.

    Living a Healthy Life with Diabetes (Session 5 of 6)
