Youth Civic Leadership Summit - Regional

Crazy Busy Leaders Study (Session 6 of 7)

Description:

EXCEL is a community leadership program designed to reach members of the community who are not yet fully engaged as community leaders or volunteers but want to develop their community leadership potential.

Our Crazy Busy Leaders study is a small group discussion open to selected members of the EXCEL leadership program who have expressed an interest in improving themselves in regard to schedules and priorities.

Session topic:

Group study of the book "Crazy Busy" with an emphasis on setting priorities and creating a "stop doing" list to enable leaders to seek innovation and reduce the craziness of schedules which actually reduces our ability to lead effectively.

Registration:

Participants must first be enrolled in the Greene County EXCEL program. This class is one of the offerings for individuals in that program. more...

Show Stock Clinic -Sheep & Goats

Description:

Missouri 4-H is about young people discovering their interests with the guidance of caring adults. It’s about young people making friends and memories in clubs or other groups while honing their knowledge, skills, attitudes and health to lead in a complex and changing world.

Show Stock clinics are designed to give 4-H livestock exhibitors the basic information they need to be successful in the show ring. Nutrition, animal health, selecting a show animal, grooming/fitting, showmanship and ethics are all discussed.

Crop Planning for a Successful Growing Season Workshop

Description:

Missouri Beginning Farmers and Ranchers project aims to reach individuals who are just getting started as well as those who come to farming with very distinctive and specific needs such as language barriers, cultural differences, and military service disabilities.

This workshop will teach how to plan vegetable crops for the growing season with an emphasis on tomatoes, cucumbers and lettuce.
