Focus on Kids is a workshop to help parents learn how to nurture and support their children through the divorce process and to help parents who are living apart develop ways to work together effectively as co-parents. Focus on Kids satisfies Missouri's educational requirement for parents who are divorcing or filing a motion to modify. It is conducted in cooperation with Missouri’s circuit courts.

Become a Master Gardener Training (Session 14 of 15)

Master Gardener registrants receive 45 hours of intense training and agree to give 30 hours of volunteer service in the year following training. Cooking Matters is a program provided by Share Our Strength, a nationwide initiative to end hunger in America. In this program, participants will learn how to buy and prepare budget friendly and healthy meals. Topics include kitchen and food safety, label reading, comparing unit prices, and eating from all 5 food groups. Each week participants get to take home the ingredients from one of the recipes made in class. A lot of basic cooking skills are covered in this program. It's a great opportunity for anyone trying to lead a healthier lifestyle.

This is a low-impact strength training program for people who are 50 or better. The class meets for 1 hour, twice a week for 8 weeks to complete a series of eight exercises with a warm-up and cool down. This program helps participants increase their physical activity which may improve strength, balance and flexibility, resulting in reduced risk for falls, better overall health and greater independence.

Cooking Matters at the Store Richland

Cooking Matters at the Store is a free, guided grocery store tour that teaches low-income adults how to get the most nutrition for their food dollars. During the tour, participants practice key food shopping skills, such as buying fruits and vegetables on a budget, comparing unit prices, reading food labels, and identifying whole grain foods.
