Increasing Profitability Through Data Analysis

Description:

BizMiner is an analytical database that provides industry financial reports for over 30,000 banking professionals; hundreds of accounting, valuation, CRE and consulting firms; and universities. The database provides industry financial ratios, balance sheet data, and detailed profit and loss statements, and industry market statistics. Participants will learn key elements of comparing their current financial data or their proposed start-up business financial projections with industry standard financial data of firms within similar industries.  more...

Sheep and Goat Production Workshop

When:  Thursday, April 19, 2018, 4 p.m. to 8:30 a.m.

Description:

University of Missouri Extension along with Lincoln University are working together to have a Sheep and Goat Workshop that focuses on internal parasite management. Susan Jaster with Lincoln University Cooperative Extension Small Farm Outreach Program as well as MU Extension Regional Livestock Specialists Gene Schmitz and Patrick Davis will lead this workshop. This workshop will include lecture, discussion, and hands – on activity related to body condition scoring, FAMACHA© Scoring, Fecal Egg Count in sheep and goats. Linda Heryford will provide the sheep and goats used in the demonstrations. In addition, participants will become certified in FAMACHA eye anemia system and along with the Five Point Check System, is used to determine when sheep and goats need to be dewormed.

Preregistration, along with fee payment needs to be by the registration deadline to the St. Clair County MU Extension Center at the St. Clair County Courthouse, P.O. Box 523, Osceola, Mo. 64776.
