A tour focusing on hay and haylage production in Taney County.

This tour will start at the Joe Smith Farm near Swan, MO. Highlights of the tour include costs of making hay, making quality hay, hayfield improvement, hay barn feasibility and construction, getting a handle on hay losses and making haylage.

Organic Gardening Academy (Session 1 of 11)

Description:

The Greene County MU Extension office is pleased to host the 2014 Organic Gardening Academy. This series of classes related to organic gardening will present proven, science based techniques on a wide range of topics. Each class will include a presentation of the subject, followed by a hands-on demonstration of the techniques learned during the class. The speakers have a passion for organic gardening, and subject matter expertise.

The introductory class on April 17 is free. The registration fee for each following class is $20. A discounted rate of $180 is available for all 10 classes purchased as a package, if purchased by May 1, 2014.
