FREE VITA Tax Preparation by Appointment Only, Northwest MO (Session 5 of 16)

When:  Thursday, March 6, 2014, 9 a.m. to Friday, March 7, 2014, 4 p.m.

Description:

If you are low- to moderate-income, and would like help with filing your taxes, we will help you at no cost to you. Free tax returns can also be prepared for high school and college students; as well as individuals and families who do not own a business.
You do need to make an appointment. You can make your appointment by calling your local University of Missouri Extension Center or call the Andrew County Extension Center at 816.324.3147, Monday thru Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM or you can leave a message and Kathy or Rebecca will return your call. Bring picture IDs for all adults, Social Security cards for everyone you are claiming, W-2s, 1099s, etc. It is also a good idea to bring anything you receive in the mail that indicates it is tax related and a copy of your last years’ tax return.

Youth Civic Leaders Summit

Description:

Youth Civic Leaders Summit is a statewide weekend retreat for 120-150 teens and adults from all over Missouri who are active or aspiring leaders and decision-makers in their communities. Teams of youth (ages 14-18) and adult leaders come together at the Summit to learn/network/plan/energize for transforming their communities through youth-adult partnerships and local civic engagement. Teams often represent countywide programs, Teen Councils, EXCEL Leadership programs, 4-H Councils, County Extension Councils: any group that values and practices youth voice and engagement. March 7-9, 2014 are dates for the 9th annual retreat at Windermere Conference Center near Camdenton Mo.  more...
