    Introduction to Quick Books for Farms and Agribusinesses in Maryville (Session 1 of 4)

    Description:

    Good business records can be an important source of information when analyzing your business. Learning to develop good records can help you keep your business on the right track. In addition, good records will make filing income and sales taxes and other government reports easier.
    University of Missouri Extension will be offering QuickBooks training, in a series of four classes. This class will help you set up and use accounting principles and computer technology as an effective tool in your home or business environment.
    This hands-on workshop will be held as part of Northwest Technical School’s Adult and Community Education Courses in Maryville. All enrolled will work independently at their own computer station. For purposes of instruction, sample programs of QuickBooks will be provided for your use. This will enable everyone to work on the same sample data sets. Randa Doty, MU Extension agriculture business specialist, has been teaching individuals how to use QuickBooks in their fam or small businesses for nine years. She will ensure that you get the most out of these classes. Topics covered will include setup, budgeting, cash and accrual basis, report generation, and payroll. You are not required to purchase computer software to participate in this class.
    It is strongly recommended that all participants already have basic computer operation skills. You are the most important asset your business possesses. Invest in yourself and the future of your business by enrolling in this course today. Registration fee is only $50.     Beginning Bee Keeping (Session 5 of 7)

    Description:

    This program was designed to introduce the world of beekeeping to High School students in FFA. This will allow the students to see what it takes to get started in bee keeping as an SAE project. In turn they can profit , learn proper recorded keeping practices, and possibly receive awards through there efforts This is a two class period activity carried out over two days. The program inspires increased economic development, economic sustainability, and social viability in rural Missouri.

    Atchison County Women in Agriculture program: Taking care of YOU
