FSMA Produce Safety Alliance Training - Buffalo

Description:

"FSMA Food Safety Training," a workshop designed for commercial fruit and vegetable producers, will be held from 8 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on March 14 at the Dallas County R-1 School Administration Building at 1323 S. Ash St. Buffalo, MO. A registration fee of $50 will be charged to cover the cost of materials, lunch, and expenses for the guest speakers. Contact the Hickory County Extension Center at 417-745-6767 for more information and to register. The Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA) Produce Safety Alliance (PSA) training is a standardized national training curriculum in produce food safety, approved by the Food and Drug Administration to meet the training requirement for farms subject to the FSMA Produce Safety Rule. The 8 hour training curriculum includes modules on FSMA, worker health and hygiene, soil amendments of biological origin, domestic animal and wildlife issues, production and postharvest use of water, postharvest handling and sanitation, and food safety plans/traceability..

Women in Dairy: Reducing Inflammtion with a Healthy Lifestyle

Diary farmers are concerned with the cow's diet, now it's time to focus on their diet. What we eat and how we live have a great impact on our short and long-term health. Knowing what foods and lifestyles to avoid or increase can help decrease our risk of chronic inflammation.
