The Annual Beef and Forage Seminar will be on Thursday, March 13, 2014 with registration at 5:30 pm at the West Plains Civic Center Magnolia Room. Topics covered at the seminar include tips and strategies to make local beef and forage producers more successful.
John Jennings, University of Arkansas State Forage Specialist (past Howell County Agronomy Specialist) and Scott Brown, Professor in the Department of Agricultural and Applied Economics at the University of Missouri. Topics include: 300 Days of Grazing Program, current forage research, and cattle market outlook for the coming year. Speakers sponsored by the Howell County Soil and Water Conservation District, Howell County Farm Bureau, and South Central Cattlemen’s Association.
