Winning Government Contracts: The First Steps

This introductory 3-hour seminar is an overview of the critical first steps associated with winning government contracts. The Missouri Procurement Technical Assistance Center (MO PTAC) host a bi-monthly seminar on how to get started in the government contracting arena including federal, state and local government registrations and certifications. The seminar will also cover MO PTAC services available to assist Missouri businesses in all aspects of government contracting.
The Missouri PTAC seminar is available to Missouri based businesses the 1st and 3rd Thursday of every month. Instructor: Michelle Cunningham

Private Pesticide Applicator Training - Pesticides and Water Quality in Platte County

Ag producers needing to obtain or renew their private pesticide applicator license for purchase of restricted-use pesticides can attend the Private Pesticide Applicator Training being offered in Kansas City. This license is valid for five years and participants must be 18 or older to receive the license. Training will be given on safe and proper use of agricultural pesticides.
Contact the Platte County Extension Center at (816) 270-2141 to reserve a seat, make accommodations due to a disability, or for more information.
Each household/family must own a Private Pesticide Applicator's Reference Manual (M87) to receive certification. The cost of the manual is $12. If you or an immediate family member already has a copy of the Reference Manual (2007 edition), please bring it to the training to waive the fee.
