    High Tunnel Workshop

    So you think you want a high tunnel? Come to this workshop to learn the basics of selecting, purchasing and putting up a high tunnel. 9:00 am - Registration 9:30-10:30 am - What to Grow 10:30-11:30 am - Site Selection 11:30-12:30 pm - Lunch (provided) 12:30-1:30 pm - Selecting a High Tunnel Kit 1:30-2:30 pm - Constructing a High Tunnel 2:30-2:45 pm - Break 2:45-4:00 pm - Disease and Insect Pest Identification and Management, Crop Rotation, Soil Health Concerns 4:00-4:30 pm—Funding a High Tunnel 4:00 pm - Evaluations Featured Speaker: Mr. Norman Kilmer of Morgan County Seeds in Barnett, MO has helped hundreds of farmers throughout Missouri and the broader United States select the correct high tunnel for their production. Mr. Kilmer will present on site selection, high tunnel design, orientation, the construction process, and expected maintenance. He is wealth of knowledge so don’t miss this opportunity to learn from a pro!

    Dig In: A Gardening Seminar

    When:  Saturday, Feb. 24, 2018, 8:30 a.m. to 9 p.m.


    St. Charles County Master Gardeners are kicking off the gardening year by hosting Dig In: A Gardening Seminar. Get your gardening juices flowing and join us for a day packed with gardening information. A light breakfast and a box lunch is included with your registration. The day begins with a keynote speaker on the importance of soil. Three sessions follow with a choice of five topics in each session. Registrants will choose one topic for each session.
