map...Description:
This program is designed to address the needs of land owners looking to improve their property as well as their outputs and profitability over the long run of the operation. Realizing finances may be limited and/or restricted we will be working with those individuals trying to make sound economic decisions about their operations.
Targeting both new and old land owners/operators looking to run up to 30-75 breeding cows, 100 stockers, 50-75 breeding goats and/or sheep, or a small registered livestock operation, on farms ranging from 20-160+ acres, operated as a part time and/or hobby farm as well as the full time farmer. This may not be their sole source of income, but a part-time occupation, recreational/retirement farm. It is not only about making a living on the farm, but about living on the farm, raising children on the farm, and having the rural way of life. The farm just needs to pay for itself and if it makes a little money along the way….. Great!
Each program will consist of two or three segments, running approximately 45-90 minutes, with a break in between allowing for questions and refreshments. You may attend only the evenings you want or sign up to attend the entire program. The choice is yours.
