Private Pesticide Applicator Training (Miller County)

When:  Saturday, Feb. 10, 2018, 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.

Description:

Missouri law requires all purchasers and users of restricted-use pesticides to attend a training session to be certified for a private applicators license. During this training, participants will learn about safe handling of pesticides, proper mixing, calibration techniques, environmental ramifications of improper mixing or careless application, chemical breakdown of pesticides in the environment, what records are needed, pesticide formulations, personal protective wear and how to clean it, pesticide storage, common MO pests, and integrated pest management (IPM).

Taney County 4-H Achievers Meeting (Session 5 of 9)

Managing Your Woodland For Health and Productivity Getting to Know Your Woodland: You will learn how to collect online information about your woodland and understand why certain trees grow where they do. Managing Your Woodland: You will learn how to identify trees that meet your ownership objectives and how to care for them properly once selected. You will become familiar with federal and state incentive programs to help offset some of your costs, and how to develop a plan!
