    Urban Region West Officer Training

    Come get excited about your position as a club officer. Learn tips and tricks, resources that are available for you to do your role well. Meet other youth around the region and prepare to take what you learn back to your club. Urban Region 4-H Officer Training is Nov. 2nd from 9am-Noon at the Platte County Resource Center.     MU Extension 4-H youth development faculty and staff collaborate with partners to address youth and family issues in the community. Rather than providing programs or services directly to an individual young person, the focus is upon influencing systems — people, programs, policies and services that impact the lives of young people and their families.

    4-H ADULT LEADER TRAINING
    On Nov. 2nd 9am to noon we will be kick starting the new year with common themes that been buzzing all over the state of Missouri in the 4-H program. Come hear firsthand about state wide initiative and programs, participate in the state wide mandated volunteer training, and identify ways we can help you through your position as a volunteer. We have a great morning prepared of networking, learning together. Please register by November 1st on your 4honline profile.

    National Inventors Hall of Fame is having an Innovation Day on Nov. 2nd (yes same day as our Volunteer training) from 8:30am-3pm at Guadalupe Centers High School for adults that would like to enhance their skills in STEM! The day consists of a packed schedule including: Interactive sessions and hands-on activities to empower student confidence and creative thinking, peer collaboration on best practices to integrate STEM and problem-based learning into the classroom and Powerful stories and insights on intellectual property (IP), entrepreneurship, collaboration and invention from NIHF Inductees.     2019 Pearls of Production: Women in Agriculture conference

    Missouri Alternative Break acitivity

    Work with Missouri Alternative Break students to plant trees in a local cemetery. The Mount Pleasant cemetery lost all of their trees in the May 22 tornado

    Planted trees with Missouri Alternative Break Students. Partners included the Eldon Garden Club, Lake of the Ozarks Master Naturalists, Lake Area Master Gardeners and Ozark Prairie Master Gardeners

    Explore 4-H Foods
