This 6 session course will help people with chronic illness learn healthy ways to live with a disease. Knowledge and skills learned include those needed to manage and overcome physical and emotional problems caused by the disease.

Greene County Commission Agriculture Tour

When:  Friday, Oct. 27, 2017, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Begins at the Greene County Commission builiding

Description:

This is the second year for the Greene County Commission Agriculture Tour. This year the tour will feature five stops. Although it is not open to the public, members of the media are welcome. Tour stops this year are on the eastern side of the county. Stops will include a cattle operation, a dairy farm, an orchard, and a produce operation, and a cafe serving locally grown foods. County officials will travel in a shuttle funded by the Greene County Extension Council. Stay Strong Stay Healthy, Level 2 is an eight-week, evidence-based strength training program for people who have completed Stay Strong, Stay Healthy, Level 1. This class helps adults stay active and improve their quality of life. The exercises are easy to learn, safe and effective.

Stay Strong, Stay Healthy Level 1 CJ (Session 7 of 18)

This is a low-impact strength training program for people who are 50 or better. The class meets for 1 hour, twice a week for 8 weeks to complete a series of eight exercises with a warm-up and cool down. This program helps participants increase their physical activity which may improve strength, balance and flexibility, resulting in reduced risk for falls, better overall health and greater independence.
