Rural Strong Workshop

Description:

This workshop is designed to inform entrepreneurs, small business owners and stakeholders-including government and community organizations-about all of the federal services and programs, including lending products and resources powered by the SBA, that are available in your area from the SBA and USDA's Rural Development Agency. Region 7 Regional Administrator Tom Salisbury will attend as his schedule allows. Learn about new SBA rural loan fee reductions and other SBA incentives. Power Up your rural community!

Your Farm, Your Business, Your Future (Session 3 of 4)

Description:

Targeted at farmers and small businesses, this program provides basic estate planning concepts as well as helps participants seek out professional help.

Session topic:

Estate Planning, An Associate Circuit Probate Judge will be presenting. Property Ownership, Estate and Gift Taxes, Wills, Non-Probate Transfers, Gifting, Insurance, Stepped-Up Basis, Probate in Missouri

Registration:

University of Missouri Extension is reaching out to communities to help farm families, individuals and businesses with succession, estate and retirement planning. The program is called Your Farm, Your Business, Your Future and consists of a three-night workshop being held January 17, 24, 31, 2019 from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. on Thursday evenings. If there should be winter weather problems, the class will be extended one week and meet February 7, 2019. Classes will be held at the Richland School, 714 E. Jefferson Avenue, Richland, MO 65556.

Cost:

$110.00
Pre-registration is required by 5:00 Friday, January 11th. The cost is $110 per individual plus $50 for each additional person from the same business with one set of materials. Participants may also register for a single session at a cost of $45 for the first person and $20 for the second person from the same business with one set of materials. The cost includes materials that cover case study examples, forms for planning, developing financial statements and record keeping. A light dinner is provided each night.
