    2019 Carroll County Soil and Crop Conference

    Description:

    Top University of Missouri Extension specialists headline the 2019 Carroll County Soils and Crop Conference.
    The free event is 8:30 a.m.-2 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 29, 2019, at the MU Extension Center in Carroll County, 111 N. Mason, Carrollton, says Dhruba Dhakal, MU Extension field specialist in agronomy.
    MU Extension state weed specialist Kevin Bradley talks on weed management in row crops and pasturelands.
    State beef specialist Eric Bailey gives an overview of how the 2018 drought affected forage supplies for cattle. He gives the pros and cons of hay as a supplemental feed.
    Economist Scott Brown gives the 2019 Missouri agriculture outlook. MU Extension entomologist Kevin Rice tells about emerging insect pests in Missouri.
