Private Pesticide Applicator Training Scheduled

Farmers and others who wish to purchase and apply pesticides must attend a Private Pesticide Applicator Training Session or view a training video before receiving certification from the Missouri Department of Agriculture. University of Missouri Extension will be holding first time certification and recertification programs at the Miller County MU Extension Office in the Courthouse Annex in Tuscumbia. One pesticide applicator training session is planned. The session will be held on Monday January 28, 2019 beginning at 6:30 pm.

Private Pesticide Applicator training - video and in person Q and A

Registration:

The Private Pesticide Applicator Reference Manual is required, and there is an application to complete at the training session. The manual will available for purchase at the sessions for $12. Individuals wishing to recertify should bring their training manuals with them to the training. In order to have enough manuals available for purchase, advance registration is required. If you wish to attend the session at the Miller County MU Extension office, please call 573-369-2394 to register. Making Money Count - Budgeting and Financial Management

Some families and individuals are struggling to make ends financially meet or maintain their current economic status. Making Money Count aims to at provide basic money management information in order to help household budgets stretch as far as possible. This program is suitable for people of all income levels.

Each topic will help consumers handle their money more effectively, protect themselves as consumers, and increase their financial knowledge. Topics include: Bank Services: Intro to Bank Services; Borrowing Basics; How to keep track of your money; Pay yourself first; Spending Goals; Consumer Beware; Credit: and How your credit history affects your future.
