MU Extension Ag Land Lease Seminar (Session 2 of 4)
When: Wednesday, Jan. 22, 2014, 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.
Land leases are an important aspect farm management. About one-third of Missouri’s agricultural land is farmed under lease agreements. While ag land leases are commonplace in Missouri, there is a lot of uncertainty among land owners and tenants regarding the fairness and legality of leases. Land owners and tenants often ask the following questions: What is a fair cash rental rate? What costs are customarily shared in a crop share lease? What is a “flexible cash rent” arrangement?—Is a flexible cash rent arrangement right for me? What are my legal obligations as a land owner or tenant? These questions and more will be addressed in the MU Extension Ag Land Lease Seminar to be held in Lafayette, Ray, Saline, and Carroll counties in January and February.
The MU Extension Ag Land Lease Seminar will be held in Richmond on January 22nd (6 to 8 PM at the Eagleton Center)
The MU Extension Ag Land Lease Seminar will be held in Higginsville on January 15th (6 to 8 PM at the Lafayette County MU Extension Center), Richmond on January 22nd (6 to 8 PM at the Eagleton Center), Marshall on January 29th (2 to 4 PM at the Saline County MU Extension Center), and Carrollton on February 5th (2 to 4 PM at the Carrollton Public Library).
