Master Gardeners meetings
The Poplar Bluff Master Gardeners meet at 6:00 p.m. on the first Tuesday of each month. Please call the Butler County University of Missouri Extension center to confirm the location for that months meeting at 573 686-8064. All are welcome to attend monthly meetings, which include informative gardening presentations. Invite friends and interested gardeners to come along.
Butler County Fair
The Butler County Fair will be July 11 to 14. Volunteers can work any day. Sign up at the meetings or at the Butler County Extension center.
In-School Garden Program
The Poplar Bluff Master Gardeners continued to provide garden education to second graders in Butler, Carter and Reynolds counties. In 2012 garden education will be provided to over 750 students. We encourage all students to enter what they grow at the Butler County Fair in July. Classes are ongoing but will be complete by May 15.
