Endowment funds

Boone County Extension Frank Graham Building Endowment

In 1984, following a long career as an Extension educator and serving on the Boone County Extension Council along with many state and national boards, Frank Graham donated the former Schotte farm for the Boone County Extension Center. Today the office is the hub of local Extension educational programs, services and resources and sits in the footprint of the former home surrounded by native plantings, hitching post and working spring house.

In recent years there has been a dramatic reduction in funding for Boone County Extension. In response to this change, the Boone County Extension Council established the Frank Graham Boone County Building Endowment.

Gifts to this endowment help ensure that the Center stays at this location and will have funds for the repair and maintenance of the building and grounds, as well as insurance, equipment, utilities and other related costs.

Boone County Extension General Endowment Fund — Ensures long-term funding for local programming efforts.

For over 60 years, Boone County Extension has served its community by offering programs that help its citizens create a better life. These programs include but are not limited to: agriculture, health and nutrition, community and leadership development, natural resources, business development, family finances, horticulture, housing and energy management. Our ongoing programs are 4-H, Master Naturalist and Master Gardener.

Over the past several years our funding has been dramatically reduced. This endowment is designed to provide program support for all Boone County Extension Specialists, by way of office support, supplies and equipment, so they can continue delivering quality education.
