In the fall of 2007 the Barton County Master Gardeners took on the project of landscaping the Barton County Senior Citizens' Center located at 306 W. 11th, Lamar, MO.  This establishment had been operating for several years and had only been minimally landscaped.  A committee met and designed several flowerbeds around the building.  This project was possible through the generous donations of several individuals and businesses in the area.  The garden was featured in the Senior Outlook magazine in the summer of 2008.  Barton County Master Gardeners are responsible for the planting, up keep and maintenance of this garden.
