2004 NEMO FOOD FEST HELD SEPTEMBER 18
Interested in buying locally produced foods but don't know where to get them or what types of products are available? Then the Fourth Annual NEMO Food Fest was the place to be on Saturday, September 18 on the Square in downtown Kirksville. Local producers displayed and discussed their products as well as provided free samples. There was also a team cook-off with Garden N' Grow participants, Truman State University athletes and community leaders. Information on food safety, nutrition, horticulture and sustainable agriculture was also available. Several area residents exhibited their garden produce and flowers.
The Food Fest is held in cooperation with the Kirksville Farmers' Market and is sponsored by University of Missouri Extension and Truman State University Agricultural Sciences Department.
