Sullivan County Master Gardeners' Tour
- Full Day

Tour the
rolling hills of Sullivan County. Visit a water garden
lovingly designed by a country woman. Enjoy playful
art objects set amidst water lilies, sedum, ornamental
grasses, other decorative plants, and a miniature railroad.
Stroll through perennials surrounding an 1898 brick
Victorian home. Step inside and see the home’s
interior and collection of quilts.
Sit in the
Oakwood Cemetery Scattering Garden and imagine the comfort
it brings to mourners. Note the four corners of the
garden: each corner was uniquely designed by Sullivan
County Master Gardeners. The last stop will be the
University of Missouri Extension “Garden n’ Grow” garden.
See how youth use various mulching, watering, staking, and
planting techniques to grow a productive theme garden. Also,
see how they have incorporated a strawberry, herb and
perennial beds into the garden.
