Many Adair County 4-H members participate in livestock projects, including beef, sheep swine, rabbit, and poultry. In 1996, Adair County 4-H was honored with the Governor's Award for the Outstanding Livestock Project at the Missouri State Fair.
In addition, for 3 consecutive years Adair County 4-H Sheep Project Members brought home the Sheep Sweepstakes Award for the Outstanding Sheep Project at the Missouri State Fair.
In 1998, Adair County 4-H Beef project members were awarded second place in the Beef Display contest at the Missouri State Fair.
