Missouri Department of Natural Resources at Rolla, MO, reported this
earthquake dropped the water level 15 feet overnight in monitoring
wells in the city of Lamar, MO.

2004 Sumatra
earthquake recorded by Missouri observation well network
Earthquake waves from the Sumatra earthquake passed through Missouri
on December 25, 2004, and caused an 8-inch water level fluctuation
in Aurora, MO well.

Japan earthquake spikes water well levels in Missouri
The
recent earthquake in Japan affected water levels in groundwater
wells all over the country. Water level fluctuations were recorded
as far away as Missouri, Illinois, Virginia, and Florida.
