The mission of the Missouri Master Gardener Extension Program is "helping others learn to grow." They provide people with information, demostrations, suggested solutions to current or anticipated problems and programs designed to educate the general public about gardening topics. So if you have a question, they have an answer!
Ninth Annual Johnson County Swine, Sheep and Steer Jackpot Show
The Johnson County Junior Livestock Show and Sale Committee is sponsoring the 9th annual Jackpot Show for 4-H and FFA members on May 27 at the Johnson County Fairgrounds. Animals will need to be in place by 9:00 a.m. and the show will begin at 11:00 a.m. Pre-registration is due May 15. Registration form

Goat Production Workshops
Interested in learning more about certain aspects of goat production? You are in luck! The University of Missouri Extension and Lincoln University are cooperating on a series of goat workshops focusing on goat nutrition, health, reproduction and economics of raising goats. The first workshop will be held at the Holden City Hall in Holden, MO on May 10th starting at 6:00 pm. The second workshop will be held on June 28th at the Higginsville Community Center at the Fairgrounds Park in Higginsville, MO starting at 6:00 pm. Cost per workshop is $10.
