1st Annual Senior Resource Fair

Something new is coming to Stone County.Everyone is welcome to attend. A special day for seniors and caregivers of Stone County....Senior resources and connections for better living. This event will take place on Friday -- June 1, 2012, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Reeds Spring High School, 20277 State Highway 413, Reeds Spring MO. Senior service vendors on site will include: Foot clinic; In-home services; Free health screenings; Hearing aid cleaning; Free basic dental screenings (no x-rays); Health & Wellness infomation; Skaggs joint and spine center; Safety demonstrations; Showcasing Senior crafters; and Mercy's new wellness bus will be on display. There will be food, fun, prizes and entertainment. This event is being sponsored by Stone County OACAC Neighborhood Center and Community Partners. For more information please call 417-272-8508.

Master Gardeners of the Ozarks 2012 Garden Tour

Master Gardeners of the 2012 Garden Tour "Edible Gardening -- Home Grown in the Ozarks" will be held on Friday, July 13 and Saturday, July 14 from 8:00 a.m.  to 1:00 p.m. each day. Cost for the tour is $10.00 per person and your Tour Booklet is your ticket to see the beautiful gardens. You may visit all the gardens in one day or take your time and visit some on each day. Master Gardeners of the Ozarks Kimberling Area Library Garden Program

The Master Gardeners of the Ozarks will again be offering gardening classes at the Kimberling Area Library. Each session is on Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. Classes and dates are:

All sessions are in the community room and are free and open to everyone as part of community education sponsored jointly by the library and Master Gardeners of the Ozarks, volunteers with the University of Missouri Extension.
