Hospitality Training

Dent County Extension and Salem TCRC invite area employers to send their staff to a Hospitality Training workshop May 4th at the Salem TCRC.  Jackie Rasmussen, Business Development Specialist with the University of Missouri Extension will train participants on good customer service skills, and participants will also practice how to respond specifically to tourist' needs.  Two sessions will be offered, 9am to Noon and 1pm to 4pm.  There is no charge to attend, but space is limited, so call the Dent County Extension office at 573-729-3196 to RSVP by May 1.

Quality for Keeps:  Home Food Preservation Series  (May 3rd Workshop Cancelled)

MU Extension is offering an “It’s So Easy to Preserve” Food Preservation Series that features the latest research and methods for freezing, pressure canning, and water bath canning fruits and vegetables.  To make the most of your garden’s bounty this summer, it is important to have up-to-date food preservation information.  Processing fruits and vegetables using outdated methods may not give you the best quality and may be unsafe to eat.  Click here for details on the three workshops offered and registration form.
