Genetically Modified Crops:
From Creation to Consumer

Larry Turner 636-737-7424

Most of us are aware that genetically modified agricultural crops are a part of our food supply. However, few really understand the technology that brought them from the laboratory to our tables. How are they created? What are the tangible benefits of their use? And how do we know they are truly safe? This presentation will explain the biotechnology behind our food, the benefits to the environment as well as to us, and the rigorous safety testing that occurs before these crops can become part of the food supply.
