By Nina Chen, Ph.D. The Intergenerational Internet program is a series of 5 to 9 computer classes to help senior citizens learn basic computer skills and how to access internet and e-mail. Youth from YWCA of Greater Kansas City and Boys and Girls Clubs of Greater Kansas City teach senior citizens technology. The program has been offered since 2002 and received very positive feedback from both generations. The Intergenerational Internet program schedules are as follows: 1) Location - L.H. Bluford Branch - KC Library Date and Time - 3:30 - 4:30p.m. , May 12, 19, June 2, 9, and 16, 2003 Graduation: June 16, 2003 A 6-week Intergenerational Internet Class will help seniors learn about basic computer skills, how to access internet and e-mail in a comfortable and non-threatening learning environment. Youth from Tech GYRLS, YWCA of greater Kansas City will work with their teacher to teach senior citizens. After completing the class, senior citizens will feel more confident to use the computer to search for information and networking. 2) Location - North East Branch - KC Library, 6000 Wilson
