Franklin County Master Gardeners Tour

Meet the Master Gardeners, gain insight into landscape design and gardening as you view six of their personal gardens throughout Franklin County on Saturday, June 23, from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The tour will be held rain or shine, with refreshments served at each location.

There is something to delight every gardeners palate on the Master Gardener Tour.  In Washington two historic homes, one in town and the other on an acre site overlooking the Missouri River will offer two very different perspectives, yet equally beautiful.  A new Union home with a very active couple who designed and landscaped their yard for enjoyment. A charming one-hundred year old home in St. Clair boasts a herb garden and has many vintage and recycled materials used in their fun garden.  Sullivan is hosting two very diverse gardens, one that is artisically developed and immaculate, the other very in keeping with nature, yet has a gazebo, pool of aquatic plants and huge greenhouse maintained year-round on the deck. These gardens will be at the height of their glory, what a wonderful way to spend the day!

Tickets are $10, chlidren 12 and under are free.  Proceeds to provide community educational programs in horticulture.Tickets may be purchased at the Extension Center in Union; Hillermann's Nursery - Washingon; Platt Nursery and Greenhouse - Union; R & R Family Center - St. Clair; MFA Farmers Cooperative - Sullivan; or from any Franklin County Master Gardener.
