Dyes that Bleed
Dyes that bleed can be troublesome. Unfortunately, there is nothing we as a consumers can do to prevent this. Research has shown that soaking in a salt or vinegar and water solution does not help. In fact, it often results in the dye bleeding more. If you have a garment that bleeds dye, take it back to the point of purchase for a refund. Manufacturers have access to proper dyeing methods so this is their responsibility.
Sometimes strong or deep colors have excess dye. They should be washed by themselves or with like colors for several washings.
